"Spitting" Pixiu Tea Pet

A pixiu teapet with a spinning ball marked with the character for fortune on its back and will shoot tea out of its mouth when the tea is poured over it. The pixiu is a mythical Chinese animal said to ward off evil and bring wealth to a home. This pixiu teapet is made from Yixing clay. Over time by being treated with tea, the clay will gain a deeper luster and sheen as well as take on the properties of the tea that is poured over it beginning to eventually even smell like the tea that is used.
